Judge Skeptical of Challenge to Research Agency’s DEI Rollback

The National Science Foundation’s plan to cap the amount of money it gives to universities for research has already been blocked by a Massachusetts court, a New York federal judge said Thursday, rejecting a request from 16 states for a preliminary injunction on the same issue.

“There’s nothing for me to enjoin,” Judge John Cronan of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said from the bench after a three-hour hearing.
