Three judges talked about their paths to the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and gave advice for attorneys arguing cases before them, but made no reference to the term “judge shopping” at a meeting of lawyers and judges of the Northern District of Texas.

That venue has become a magnet for conservative litigants challenging Biden administration policies and rules, including the US Food and Drug Administration’s decades-old approval of a key abortion drug that one of its judges ordered off the market last week.
