A federal judge granted the New Jersey US attorney’s request to conduct an additional review of a foreign bribery case that Justice Department leaders previously told prosecutors to bring to trial.
The judge, however, denied a push for a six-month pause, instead giving John Giordano, the state’s new acting chief federal prosecutor, no more than 30 days to conduct what he’s described as a “supplemental analysis.”
