Judge Financial Disclosures Would Be Online Under New Bill

The judiciary would be required to publish federal judges’ financial disclosures online under new bipartisan legislation that will be introduced in both chambers of Congress.

The Monday announcement of the bill, the Courthouse Ethics and Transparency Act, comes after the Wall Street Journal analyzed federal judicial financial disclosures and found 131 judges heard cases in which they or a family member held stock in a company involved in the case.
