Jordanian Imam May Stay in US, Despite Government’s Objections

A Jordanian Imam, who’s been in the US for over 30 years, was entitled to lawful permanent resident status, because the government failed to properly appeal the immigration judge’s decision and its effort to circumvent the order was unlawful, the Third Circuit said Tuesday.

The Board of Immigration Appeals exceeded its authority when it attempted to undo Mohammad M.
