No firm had better branding last year than Jones Day, according to a new survey.

The Cleveland-based firm has enjoyed greater visibility because its lawyers are filling Trump Administration posts. It won the top spot in an annual survey for the second year in a row, according to an Arcritas U.S. survey.

Jones Day got high marks for its practical legal advice, offices worldwide, broad range of services, and results, said Acritas vice president Lizzy Duffy.

“The firm took off in various considerations such as top-of-mind awareness because of its client relationships and general reputation,” she said.

The firms were rated by which were most frequently considered for top-level litigation and for major mergers and acquisition work, among other factors.

Jones Day’s brand awareness has benefited because several of its lawyers now occupy important Trump administration jobs. Former firm partner Donald McGahn, who represented Donald Trump during his campaign, is now White House Counsel.

The firm edged out Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom for the top spot.

The brand index surveys 601 general counsel, or their equivalents who purchase legal services for their employers, for companies with $1 billion or more in revenues.

Jones Day increased its lead over Skadden Arps, which had held the spot for the previous five years.

In a statement, Glen Nager, Client Affairs Partner at Jones Day, credited the firm’s collaboration and ability to “provide seamless service across specialties and jurisdictions.”

Latham & Watkins, Sidley Austin, and Baker McKenzie round out the top five.
