Iran and Bank Melli must face a suit brought under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act by victims of terrorism, a federal district court in Washington said Sept. 23.
The plaintiffs showed that the bank is an agency or instrumentality of Iran and that it was properly served according to the FSIA, Judge Randolph D. Moss of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said.
