Infosys Limited Stops Whistleblower’s H-1B Visa Fraud Lawsuit

Infosys Limited defeated a whistleblower’s False Claims Act suit alleging the India-based IT services company unlawfully underpaid the US government visa fees for foreign workers.

Whistleblower Gregory Handloser didn’t adequately state a claim because Infosys didn’t have an obligation to pay the government higher payroll taxes for wages the company never paid, or an obligation to pay fees for visa applications the company didn’t submit, Judge Sean D. Jordan of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said in a Monday order that dismissed the suit with prejudice.
