The Seventh Circuit reaffirmed, on remand from the U.S. Supreme Court, its ruling that blocked Indiana from enforcing a law requiring a pregnant minor’s parents to be notified prior to a court-authorized abortion.
The Supreme Court remanded the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit based on the high court’s ruling in June Medical Services LLC v. Russo. The decision struck down a Louisiana law that required doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at local hospitals.
