Importers Await Tariff Relief as Supreme Court Adjourns for Year

Companies eager for relief from President Donald Trump’s tariffs are likely to have to wait until at least January.

With the Supreme Court beginning a four-week holiday recess, the window has all but closed for a ruling this year on challenges to Trump’s sweeping import taxes.

In the meantime, Customs and Border Protection is collecting billions each month from US companies. Many of these importers, particularly small businesses, are increasingly passing the costs on to consumers as affordability emerges as a national concern.
