Nearly 300 federal judges have been threatened in the last eight months, according to internal data from the Justice Department agency protecting judges—almost as many as judges as were threatened in a 12-month span four years ago.
The US Marshals Service data, provided to Bloomberg Law by a federal judge, shows that as of Tuesday, 373 threats were made against 277 unique federal judges since the start of fiscal 2025, which began Oct. 1.
