Houchens Food Group Settles $50,000 Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Houchens Food Group, Inc. will pay $50,000 and provide additional relief to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit filed in Alabama federal court, according to the EEOC Monday.

The grocery store chain allegedly subjected female employees to frequent, unwelcome sexual touching by a regular customer at a Pic-N-Sav location in Evergreen, Ala. Though employees complained to supervisors, prompt action to prevent or stop the harassment was allegedly not taken, said the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
