Honeywell, Christian Worker Agree to Dismiss Bias Training Suit

Honeywell International Inc. and a Christian worker agreed to dismiss his suit alleging the company failed to accommodate his religious beliefs and fired him after he refused to participate in a mandatory unconscious bias training.

Justin Wright said he completed the unconscious bias training in 2022 but declined to retake it in 2024. Honeywell didn’t offer him alternate training and fired him after he refused to complete the training again.

The training was “based on the premise that people’s immutable characteristics are their defining attributes and that people are naturally divided by these attributes,” Wright said in his complaint. ...
