The reviews are in: The Hollywood screenwriters strike, tentatively settled on Sunday, will have little direct impact on state and municipal finances, but watch out for any spinoffs.

“We have clearly seen an increase in unionized striking activity in both public and private sectors,” Mikhail Foux, head of municipal strategy at Barclays Capital Inc., said in an email. Some parts of the municipal market, including health care and education, might be more affected than others in the medium term, he added.
