J. Logan Rappaport joined Hinshaw & Culbertson as a partner in its consumer financial services practice group in New York, the firm announced Thursday.
Rappaport represents national banks, asset-backed lenders, estate fiduciaries, equipment finance and leasing companies, and alternative finance lenders in the merchant cash advance space. His practice focuses on corporate workouts and out-of-court restructuring, Chapter 11 reorganizations, creditors’ rights litigation in state and federal courts, asset liquidations under Chapter 7 and state law, and complex matters arising under the US Bankruptcy Code and various state laws, the firm said.
