Model Janice Dickinson Loses Legal Spat Over Reality TV Hijinks

Model Janice Dickinson won’t get to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court that a reality TV show violated various Lanham Act provisions by defaming her through a planned deception and misleading editing.

Dickinson accused the makers of the reality series “Shahs of Sunset” of deceptively staging a scripted controversy in 2016 that made it look as if she had stolen a runway outfit just before she needed it.

The incident “falsely portrays Dickinson as an unprofessional, past-her-prime runway model who deliberately sabotaged another” to seek attention, her Supreme Court petition said.
