Helios Streaming LLC sued Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. and its affiliates alleging the media and entertainment giant is infringing its streaming patents.
The complaint filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California Wednesday alleges that Warner Bros., WarnerMedia Direct LLC, and Home Box Office are infringing Helios’ DASH Patents—dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP—which is a media-streaming model of delivering media content.
Helios said that it obtained an exclusive license to the DASH Patents in 2018 and “all right, title and interest” to them in 2022.
