Health Groups Weigh In on Vape Market Dispute Before High Court

Public health groups are jockeying for influence in amicus briefs before the US Supreme Court, as justices are set this term to weigh the FDA’s regulation of e-cigarettes.

Eleven public health and medical groups, including the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, American Lung Association, and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, filed an amicus brief Aug. 30 asking the high court to overturn an appeals court decision regarding flavored e-cigarettes.
