Healey Taps Gabrielle Wolohojian for Top Massachusetts Court

Gov. Maura Healey (D) nominated Gabrielle Wolohojian to sit on Massachusetts’ Supreme Judicial Court Wednesday, replacing retired Justice David Lowy.

Wolohojian is Healey’s second nomination to the seven-member court, which was previously entirely made up of appointees from her Republican predecessor, Charlie Baker.

“There is no one more qualified or better prepared to serve on the Supreme Judicial Court than Justice Wolohojian,” said Healey. “She will bring over three decades of broad trial and appellate experience, including sixteen years on the Appeals Court.”
