Gun Found Under Bed During Search for Person Admissible Evidence

A defendant who conditionally pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm failed to convince the Seventh Circuit that the gun found under the bed in his motel couldn’t be used against him.

Officers from the Allen County, Ind., sheriff’s office arrived at Larry Jones’ motel room to execute an arrest warrant for Whitney Gosnell, who was supposedly staying with Jones. When the officers knocked on the door, Jones told them Gosnell wasn’t there.
