Guam officials seeking to enforce an in-person abortion counseling requirement will have to wait until after the U.S. Supreme Court decides a case testing a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks’ gestation, the Ninth Circuit said.
The island’s federal trial court blocked the requirement that women receive counseling in person from a qualified individual at least 24 hours before the procedure, and the officials appealed.
