Grubhub, Uber Eats Get Break on New York User Data-Sharing Law

New York City agreed not to enforce against Grubhub Inc. and Uber Technologies Inc.‘s Uber Eats a new law the companies are challenging that mandates delivery apps share customer data with restaurants.

Grubhub was the latest delivery app company to join Uber Eats and DoorDash Inc. in suing the city over the law. The enforcement agreement was spelled out in a pair of Monday orders in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The reprieve comes after the city agreed in October not to enforce the law against DoorDash while its legal challenge plays out. ...
