Goldman Seeks Stay of Class Approval Pending High Court Look

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. asked the Second Circuit to put a securities class suit against it on hold while it petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to take a look at the case.

Investors accused Goldman of misleading them about conflicts of interest surrounding certain collateralized debt obligation transactions, and the investment bank in April lost its bid to prevent class certification. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit declined June 15 to rehear the case.
