An accused terrorist detained at the Guantanamo Bay military prison is fighting at a Washington federal appeals court to have his case thrown out, because the government included evidence derived from torture in charging documents.
A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit heard oral argument Thursday in a challenge by Encep Nurjaman, an Indonesian citizen also known as Hambali, who is facing charges in a military court for orchestrating 2002 and 2003 terrorist bombings at a nightclub and hotel in Indonesia.
