Gerrymandering Challenge to US House District in Ohio Tossed

A panel of federal judges on Monday tossed a lawsuit that alleged that an eastern Ohio congressional district was drawn in a way that unlawfully gerrymandered away the influence of Black residents.

The claims challenging the makeup of the state’s 6th District failed for multiple reasons, said the judges from the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
