Gerry Spence Loses Round in Battle Over Legal Training Center

The founder of a Wyoming legal training center and his allies were properly ordered not to use confusing terminology while their trademark dispute with another leadership faction plays out in court, the Tenth Circuit ruled Thursday.

But the trial court went too far when it required founder Gerry Spence’s group to remove two sculptures from the ranch where the disputed organization, the Trial Lawyers College, had previously held its programs, Judge Robert E. Bacharach said for the appeals court.
