Georgia Tech Officials Must Face Malicious Prosecution Suit

The Georgia Tech officials who produced a report accusing a professor of financial improprieties that was then used to have him arrested must face his malicious prosecution suit, the Eleventh Circuit said, creating a circuit split.

Professor Joy Laskar was the director of the Georgia Electronic Design Center, which was a research entity affiliated with Georgia Tech. He also founded Sayan Wireless LLC, which paid to be a member of the center and use its facilities, equipment, and staff.
