The Georgia Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a voluntary discipline request submitted by an attorney who said he failed to communicate with two separate clients, resulting in legal action in both cases.
Andrew Matteson submitted a petition for voluntary discipline before the filing of a formal complaint. Matteson cited one matter in which he settled a lawsuit by a client for $86,520.58 and another in which a legal malpractice claim went to arbitration and resulted in a $640,000 client award.
