Georgia’s highest court disbarred a lawyer who had been disbarred in Colorado last year for breaking several of that state’s disciplinary rules, including failure to report his DUIs.
The Georgia Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday with its disciplinary review board “that disbarment is the appropriate sanction in this reciprocal discipline matter.”
Dennis W. Hartley was disbarred in Colorado in August 2019 for not reporting the DUIs to disciplinary authorities and for committing “multiple” ethics violations, the court said.
