Full Ninth Circuit to Address California Ban on Large Gun Clips

The full Ninth Circuit decided Thursday to hear a constitutional challenge to California’s ban on large-capacity gun magazines.

Large capacity magazines hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition per weapon, and California’s legislators adopted the ban in the wake of many mass shootings.

A panel of the court said in August that the ban violates the Second Amendment because it isn’t narrowly tailored to further the state’s interest in protecting its citizens.
