FTC Preparing Objections to Tapestry’s Capri Deal, NYT Says (1)

US regulators are moving to block fashion company Tapestry Inc.’s $8.5 billion planned takeover of Capri Holdings Ltd., the New York Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The Federal Trade Commission’s members are expected to meet this week to discuss a case, the newspaper said Wednesday, which could precede a vote on whether to file a lawsuit. It’s still possible the agency could decide not to sue, the Times said.
