Foreign Bribery Case in Limbo as US Attorney Pushes New Review

New Jersey’s US attorney wants to undertake a more extensive review of an overseas corruption case the Justice Department previously gave prosecutors a green light to proceed with despite a Trump administration pause on foreign bribery enforcement.

It’s the latest turn in a case involving alleged bribes in India by US businessmen that was originally set for trial in early March but because of an unspecified medical issue is now on track to begin March 17.
