Lawyer Allegedly Disparaged Judges, Bar Sanctions Bid Says (1)

The Florida Bar asked the state’s highest court to discipline a lawyer after receiving three complaints from two state courts alleging he made disparaging statements about the judiciary.

The bar’s grievance committee approved the complaint after a finding of probable cause based on the state court referrals, the bar said in a Nov. 3 complaint filed with the Florida Supreme Court.

Lawyers for Bruce Jacobs said in an emailed statement that he was “disappointed” that the bar took this step but that he’ll continue to work with them to resolve the matter.
