Ian Samuel, an Indiana University law school professor and host of the popular “First Mondays” podcast on the Supreme Court, has been placed on leave pending a Title IX investigation, the school said Dec. 3.
Chuck Carney, a university spokesman, confirmed the investigation and Samuel’s status, but declined to comment further.
Under Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, an “education program or activity” receiving federal funds can’t engage in sex harassment or discrimination.
The school emailed students, informing them that Samuel voluntarily admitted himself into a hospital.
