Illinois’s senators have recommended to the White House two finalists for Chicago’s US attorney—either of whom would become the first non-White man to serve as chief prosecutor in the district.
April Perry, a senior counsel at GE Healthcare and former federal prosecutor, and Sergio Acosta, who used to lead the Chicago office’s general crimes section, will now undergo White House vetting to fill a crucial vacancy in the Northern District of Illinois, Sens.
