Fiat Chrysler Can’t Prove Former Lawyer Breached Agreement

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles failed to convince a federal judge in Michigan that a former attorney breached a confidentiality agreement when she began representing plaintiffs in lemon law disputes.

Patrea Bullock signed the agreement during the course of her employment with a law firm retained by FCA US LLC, when she attended a program specifically intended to cultivate skills for defending FCA from breach of warranty claims. By the agreement’s terms, she agreed not to disclose any of the documents or information and to not use that information for any reason other than defending FCA from such claims.
