Feingold to Step Down as American Constitution Society President

American Constitution Society President Russ Feingold plans to step back from his role there after leading the progressive lawyer group since 2020.

The former Wisconsin Democratic senator will leave his post on April 1, 2025, ACS said in a statement Tuesday.

Feingold helmed the organization as it emerged as a leading voice for progressive judicial nominations. As Republicans, led by Donald Trump, sought to reshape the judiciary with reliable, young conservatives, groups such as ACS worked to raise public awareness of the importance of the courts.
