Federal Judges See Role in Building Public Confidence in Courts

Judges can do more to help increase public confidence in the judiciary and court rulings, said federal circuit and district judges who also warned about rising threats sometimes rooted in politics.

Speaking at the Federalist Society’s Third Circuit Chapters Conference in Philadelphia on Friday, a panel of judges spoke about the need to be clearer about their decisions and how they reach them, particularly as courts have come under attack and public opinion of the judiciary has fallen.
