A Colorado federal judge has denied a request to recuse from a case regarding a collegiate athletic conference’s policy for transgender athletes over his courtroom procedures for the use of preferred pronouns.
Lawyers in the case alleged that US District Judge Kato Crews courtroom policies restricted the speech of plaintiffs and their lawyers under threat of sanctions, and also demonstrated potential bias on the topics at issue in the case.
