Facebook Inc. wrongly classified certain marketing managers as ineligible for overtime pay, a federal lawsuit alleges.
“As far as we can tell, this is the first case of its type brought against Facebook,” attorney Ryan F. Stephan of Stephan Zouras in Chicago told Bloomberg Law Oct. 30.
Stephan represents client solutions, customer solutions, and account managers alleging that they routinely work more than 40 hours per week but aren’t paid overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act or Illinois law.
