Ex-SCOTUS Clerks Sue Jones Day Over Parental Leave Bias for Men

Jones Day’s legal woes continue as it faces a new lawsuit by husband and wife and former Supreme Court clerks Mark Savignac and Julia Sheketoff alleging that the firm’s parental leave policy discriminates against men and imposes archaic gender roles.

Time Off: The pair, who both clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer, allege that Jones Day fired Savignac three days after he sent an email complaining about the inequity in allowing male employees eight weeks less leave than it gives its female employees after the birth of a child.
