Ex-NBA Player Tate George Loses Bid to Revive Tax Bill Fight (1)

Former New Jersey Nets player Tate Claude George was denied a chance to be re-heard by a federal appeals court in his fight against a tax bill.

George, a first round pick in the 1990 NBA draft, challenged an IRS determination that he owed roughly $70,000 in unpaid taxes from 2013, including a tax addition on an early pension distribution. The IRS also determined George owed an additional $8,853 for failing to file and pay.
