Ex-Marine Faces Added Prison Time for Threatening Congressman

An ex-Marine will face an increased prison sentence for cyberstalking and threatening a congressman who criticized retired Marine General John Kelly during the debate over immigration policy, the Sixth Circuit said July 3.

The district court didn’t clearly err by applying the government official enhancement to Scott Sulik’s sentence, the opinion by Judge Jane B. Stranch said.
