A former federal public defender is set to go to trial against federal judiciary officials on Monday, nearly three years after she filed a closely-watched lawsuit alleging that her sexual harassment complaint against her supervisor was mishandled.

Caryn Strickland is set to argue in federal court in Asheville, North Carolina, that she was harassed at the federal defenders’ office for the Western District of North Carolina, claiming that her due process rights were violated after officials allegedly mishandled the Employment Dispute Resolution process.
