Ex-CEO Fights Jackson Walker to Control Suit Over Judge Romance

The former CEO of a defunct petroleum barge company pushed back on Jackson Walker LLP’s arguments that he can’t sue over allegations a former judge’s relationship with a local attorney was improperly concealed.

Morton S. Bouchard III said he has standing to sue the Texas law firm, as well as former judge David R. Jones, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and former Jackson Walker partner Elizabeth Freeman, according to a reply filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
