Europe Will Study Social Media Bans for Children Under 16

The European Commission said it would examine possible restrictions on social media for children under 16 years old following similar rules planned in Australia.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she’ll put together a panel to advise on an approach to make social media safer for children in Europe by the end of the year, and that she’ll watch the results of the Australian rules closely.
