Envoy Air, Ex-Employee End Race, National Origin Bias Lawsuit

Envoy Air Inc. and a Hispanic employee jointly filed to dismiss the bias suit he filed after being fired for allegedly complaining about the discrimination he faced at work.

Abdo Askar claimed he was harassed by a coworker because of his heritage and that after the company fired him, he was replaced by someone outside his protected class. He sued Envoy Air, which is owned by an American Airlines Group Inc. subsidiary, under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Texas law.
