The Energy Department’s Office of Inspector General is seeking outside legal support to pursue a review of the agency’s Loan Program Office, according to a government contracting notice.
The inspector general’s office intends to award a sole source contract to the Robert Rabalais Team—a recipient connected to a Houston-based former senior energy finance lawyer at Vinson & Elkins and Simpson Thacher—to provide legal support to the inspector general, according to the notice published on June 11.
