A Chicago federal judge has allowed Edelson PC to broaden its claims against two Girardi Keese ex-partners in the lawsuit over allegedly unpaid attorneys’ fees and missing proceeds linked to the Lion Air crash settlements.
Edelson acted as local counsel for the Girardi firm in the litigation over the 2018 crash of Lion Air flight JT610—a Boeing Co. 737 Max 8 airliner—in waters off Indonesia that killed all 189 passengers and crew on board.
The Chicago-based firm sued Girardi Keese, its principal and others over the fees and proceeds two years ago.
