Dueling Nebraska Abortion Measures Certified for 2024 Ballot (1)

Nebraska on Friday became the final state to approve abortion-related questions for the November ballot with two competing proposals to either expand abortion rights or maintain the state’s 12-week limit.

The measures from the campaigns Protect Our Rights and Protect Women and Children each met Nebraska’s signature requirements to guarantee spots on the statewide ballot, Nebraska Secretary of State Robert Evnen (R) announced in a press release.

It’s the first time in state history that two conflicting petitions will appear on the same ballot, and comes as abortion rights are expected to boost voter turnout after Democrats successfully campaigned ...
